With only six mere days to regroup, relight, redesign, recreate and
professionally produce this massive gala, our work was cut out for us with not a
second to waste! The selected fifty-eight thousand square foot facility had to be transformed into a mesmerizing gala to astound all! The new First Lady insisted on ‘blue’, and no floral. That was our only inspiration. Utilizing over 60, 20’ high burlap-balled and leafless trees, each covered with mini blue LED lights, and installing massive clusters of various sized suspended white Japanese lanterns, we began the task of filling the space. |

Stunning room lighting accented the installations, dance area
and stage. The trees and natural décor created vignette areas
within the monstrous venue, allowing for more comfortable spaces
to mingle. Centerpieces were created with a variety of glass
containers from 3 inches to 4 feet high, utilizing Ohio
branches, mosses, lichens, stones and greenery, which were then
highlighted with mini LED lighting…the overall effect was
stunning! When famed Aaron Tippon took the main stage, which was accented with stunning fiber-optic draping, we knew the event was stellar! But did we mention that this 6-day event production and transformation hosted over 11,000 anxious guests?! It was a Governor’s Ball that will never be forgotten! |
