TEAM BUILDING RETREAT: SURVIVOR

When a notable east coast university came to EventCo seeking the strategic plan and design for an interactive, fun, and over-the-top team building retreat, we knew the perfect destination to motivate their weary faculty …the beach!!! We discovered the perfect setting, with a Survivor-themed inspiration, on Florida’s remote Ormond Beach, just north of Daytona.

The unknowing participants were shuttled to a pavilion on the beach, where they were met by 3 special tribal council leaders costumed in stunning tribal attire! Guests were separated into 3 teams, and whisked away to various nearby areas of the ‘village’ where they took part in 5 fun, team building challenges. After the team activities were completed, guest made their way back to the Team Pavilion for a gourmet barbeque complete with a roasted pig and beach fare!
 

EventCo worked closely with Florida wildlife and game authorities while producing this event, to protect the huge, three foot Loggerback Sea Turtles that were arriving on the beach, and began nesting, during the EventCo production.

A late night team celebration was also planned on the beachfront with nostalgic torches and the faux fire pit of Survivor. The characters of the ‘tribal counsel’ ran the show which included a rewards challenge and an elimination challenge. As the flame was extinguished, the tribal counsel leaders delivered an eye-opening dance production finale…allowing for a beachfront dance party to complete the high-energy farewell to the guests. This motivating event received top scores in creating stronger interaction and participation with the University’s top faculty. The result: We launch an energized faculty into an astounding school year, immediately benefiting campus interaction and relationships with student, faculty and alumni, stimulating enhanced communication and facilitation skills.
