ICONS IN BLACK AND WHITE Black and white never looked so fabulous! On Wednesday, February 1, 2006 EventCo Productions proudly produced the hottest event at New York City’s 2006 Fashion Week! Held at the Whitney Museum, cosmetic company Pantene joined with The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) to host “ICONS IN BLACK AND WHITE”, a tribute to fashion icons: Oleg Cassini, Carolina Herrera, Donna Karen, Calvin Klein, Mary McFadden, Diane von Furstenberg and Vera Wang. Guests were asked to wear black and white and to express themselves through creative hairstyles. A unique exhibition displayed seven black and white photographs, one chosen by each designer, which marked the turning point in their career. The focal point on the evening was when each photo was brought to life with models wearing modern interpretations of the classic photos. Elegant pillars of white roses were placed throughout the warmly lit gallery where celebrities Carmen Electra, Fran Drescher, Maria Menounos, Miss Universe and Miss USA and other guests mingled reminiscing on memories of the honored fashion icons. Other impressive décor included LED lit bar tops, cozy lounge furniture and elaborate chandeliers. EventCo was truly honored to be apart of this memorable night in the fashion industry! |
