My Super Sweet 16 Party

Complete with cowboys, horses, and country music sensation Jessica Andrews EventCo produced its first MTV My Super Sweet 16 in Columbus, Ohio. On August 11, 2007 months of planning finally came full circle to celebrate Makala's Sweet 16.

Makala made her grand entrance on horseback while her 12 VIPs were showcased on a traditional hay wagon pulled by a brand new John Deere tractor. As guests entered Makala’s Western Glam Club they were wowed by plasma televisions, spectacular lighting and loads of western décor. This Sweet 16 had it all…a mechanical bull, an ice sculpture of a horse with energy drink flowing out its mouth, a 3 foot fruit cactus, an antique wagon, troths of drinks and of course outstanding performances!

Entertainment consisted of performances by European music artist Quentin Elias, the birthday girl (who placed 8th overall at Star Systems Nationals dance competition earlier this summer) performed an impressive dance trio with 2 of her closest friends prior to Jessica Andrews taking the stage. Jessica closed the show with her hit “Who I Am.” Makala, who is the national model for Warmbat Australia, was speechless as she was presented with a page advertisement to appear in Teen Vogue. The night was a success, with one guest stating, “This party will go down in Columbus history!”
